Our Old Money Style Outfit Picks

The following outfit suggestions are all on brand with the old money aesthetic. Although this style originates in the lifestyle of the rich and the wealthy, we found some alternatives to the classic brands, that come at a more reasonable price.

1. Basic Old Money Outfit

This banner contains some basic outfit pieces for the old money aesthetic look. You can see a blue oxford shirt, a beige chino pants, a white shirt, a brown belt and some brown loafers.
  1. Uniqlo – oxford shirt
  2. Uniqlo – linen chino pants
  3. Uniqlo – cotton t-shirt
  4. H&M – leather belt
  5. H&M – tasseled loafers

Our first look is going down a rather classic road. We only picked neutral tones, and yes we count light blue (and also navy) into the neutrals. The reason why is that those colors go with literally any style and are easy to incorporate in any look and style with any other color scheme. Coming back to our look, it is on the more casual side. We could imagine wearing the button down shirt open or buttoned up. You could even leave away the white t-shirt to make it more classy. The cognac loafers and the belt are the perfect accessories to make the look more interesting.

2. Maritime Old Money Outfit

This picture contains some essential pieces for a summer old money style outfit. We are seeing a blue short, a white shirt and a creme knit sweater. For shoes we are going with some brown loafers and a brown belt.
  1. H&M – navy chino shorts
  2. H&M – white linen shirt
  3. Polo Ralph Lauren – cable knit jumper
  4. Brunello Cucinelliwoven leather belt
  5. G.H. Bass & Co.penny loafers

Our second look is really channeling the Hamptons. Imagine yourself taking a boat’s cruise or doing a little sailing trip. We curated a perfect mix between more affordable pieces and some on the more expensive side. In general, we would say to save your money on the basics and invest (if you can) in your timeless statement pieces, like this jumper. Oftentimes, it is also worth to splurge on accessories and shoes, as they tend to be more durable and last longer in your wardrobe. Especially trends like old money are perfect for this, because these classic pieces will never go out of style.

3. Casual Old Money Outfit

On this picture you can see different clothes which are establishing a classical summer fit. This includes ray-ban sunglasses, a striped shirt, some white sneakers, a cardigan and shorts.
  1. Ray-Ban – hexagonal sunglasses
  2. AMI Paris – button-front knitted cardigan
  3. H&M – regular fit poplin shirt
  4. Uniqlo- chinoshorts
  5. COS – canvas lace-up sneakers

This next look could almost be seen as a mix between the first two. Combing the best pieces, but in a more casual way. Our third old money outfit is for the days off, where you might take a Sunday stroll around the countryside with your loved ones. Still, the luxurious AMI Paris Cardigan will make you feel and look like a royal. Apart from the navy cardigan, we found the best basics that come at a fair price point for you in this combination. One thing we really love is that basically every piece of the first three outfits goes with everything else. If you have several favorites, go and create an old money outfit of your own.

4. Neutral Old Money Style Outfit

This picture shows you basic fashion pieces for the old money style. We are seeing brown chinos, a brown polo shirt, brown loafers and some golden sunglasses.
  1. Roberto Collinav-neck cotton polo shirt
  2. H&Mrelaxed fit pants
  3. H&M chunky loafers
  4. Ray-BanJulie rectangle-frame sunglasses

While we went for the blue tones in our first outfit combos, we fell in love with the earthy tones of these fabulous pieces. For the other looks we envisioned places like the English countryside or the Hamptons, now we see a raggazzo in Milano wearing this exact combination. This look is rather simple, the only accessory are the retro sunglasses from Ray-Ban. Nevertheless, the wide cut pants paired with the horse bit loafers shows the dedication to detail of the wearer.

5. Modern Old Money Outfit

This picture shows a old money style outfit. You can see various clothes on the picture including a belt, a cartier watch, some loafers and a shirt.
  1. Prada – Re-Nylon leather jacket
  2. COS – straight-leg elasticated linen trousers
  3. H&M – buckle-detail loafers
  4. Dell’oglio – woven – leather belt
  5. Cartier – pre-owned crash 22x38mm

With this outfit, we throw a modern twist into the old money style outfits. The polo shirt in black is a classic piece that is regardless something new with its textured material. The khaki pants might seem a bit unusual, but we think this tone of green can almost be treated like a neutral. The shoes and the loafers complete the look. But of course we can’t forget the cherry on top of this matchless look, the watch. This Cartier watch is reminiscent of Salvador Dalí and just like his paintings this watch is a piece of art in itself.

6. Blue Jeans Outfit

This picture contains different clothes for a outfit. You can see a Levis blue Jeans, a blue oxford shirt and a belt. To complete the outfit you can see a brown belt and a rolex watch on the picture.
  1. Levis – 501® ’93 straight jeans
  2. H&M – regular fit oxford shirt
  3. Zegnabraided buckle-fastening belt
  4. Gucci – gucci Jordaan leather loafer
  5. Rolex – 2023 unworn datejust 41mm

Our last pick, for this article, is based on our favorite Denim fit from Levi’s. The classic 501 started off as working pants, but soon found their way into modern wardrobes. The straight leg, that is neither skinny nor wide cut, will literally go with any occasion you have. Paired with the exquisite loafers from Gucci and the Rolex datejust the look is worthy of the old money aesthetic. Make the cut with a basic shirt and your favorite belt (we really love the woven style for the summer) and you are ready to go.
