We know it’s still the middle of August and boiling outside, but you know what will arrive in the next few weeks—Fall, and therefore the best season in fashion. Finally, we can layer pieces again and create looks that will not just scream I don’t want to melt. We thought it would be nice to start with the basics and present 5 looks to you that will act as the foundation to your Fall wardrobe.
What pieces do you need in Fall 2023?
While we love to show you our favorite new pieces on a regular basis, you don’t have to buy a complete new wardrobe every season. Here is a list of pieces for Fall that are essentials.
- (Faux) Leather Sneakers: This may be the most obvious pick for Fall, but a comfortable pair of sneakers, that is also waterproof, will probably be your best friend in the upcoming season.
- Cargo Pants: As they have become a staple in any men’s wardrobe over the last years, it is vital that you swap your cargo shorts for a long version of cargo pants. As they are a great alternative for your basic pair of blue jeans, we suggest you pull them out for Fall 2023.
- Hoodies: This is the favorite piece for you and your (potential) significant other. Because Hoodies have a tendency to get stolen from your wardrobe, it is best to stack up on them.
- Rain Jacket: One thing that dims our excitement for Fall is the rain. But since nobody can change the weather, it is best to come prepared. With a nice rain jacket, you’ll get everywhere dry and stylish.
- Cap: In the best case, you already have a cap from summer that will also work for Fall. If not, go take a look at our suggestions. Whether the sun is still shining or the rain is pouring, a cap will give you the protection you need at all times.

Here is a look for those grim rainy days. We know, not the most pleasant thing about Fall. You imagine the wet leaves that color the whole scenery in a golden hue. Not so bad anymore, right? To tie in our guide on Fall fashion, we finish off with another more neutral look in the colors of Fall. Again we thought about the rain, sorry to all our sun lovers. The cargo pants, the Vans sneakers and the basic long sleeve T-Shirt give off the skater boy vibe that Avril Lavigne already loved in 2002 (we feel old now).
