Go take a look and cozy up!
What Pieces Do You Need in Fall 2023?
For any aesthetic, there are pieces that just fit and some that do not really resonate. We have collected the ultimate staple pieces for any old money style look in Fall.
- Cable Knit Jumper: In summer, you might have thrown a light cashmere pullover over your shoulder and enjoyed your evening outside. This won’t work in Fall. The perfect staple to make any look will be a nice quality cable knit jumper, that will make you look stylish and timelessly dressed.
- Chino Pants: It is time to put away the linen pants and switch them for something made of a heavier material. The classic Chino Pants will be a start, we have found some of our favorites in the outfit picks below.
- (Faux) Leather Jacket: To be completely transparent, a leather jacket is a universal fall staple that pretty much should be in any man’s wardrobe. If you want to be fully on trend when choosing the right one, you should go for a more classic cut, which means no fancy embellishments or the biker look.
- Coated Jacket: For more rough and windy weather, we would go for a coated jacket, so you could easily fit into the royal family going for a hunt. If you have a larger budget, an original Barbour jacket would fit best into the old money aesthetic, but we have some budget options below as well, don’t you worry.
- Penny Loafers: When it comes to shoes, the coolest option would be going with classic penny loafers. Loafers are a huge trend this season, for men as well as women. So grab your girl and go on the hunt. Fun fact about the penny loafers: They got their name from the tradition, that you keep a penny in the small pocket on the top of the shoe.

- H&M – Leather Jacket
- H&M – Crew Neck Pullover

For our second old money look we go a bit more formal than in our first suggestion. Pairing the chino pants with the leather jacket in a rather simple cut, the look is both elegant but cool. While it is possible to go more casual, by pairing a basic T-Shirt with this look, we went full-blown millionaires style with the crew neck. The penny loafers and black belt are what tops this look off.

For anyone that wants to walk the line between casual and fancy, this one is for you. As for our luxury piece in this look, we opted for this gorgeous AMI Paris jacket in a light khaki color. This pullover is pretty much the best deal you can find at H&M. This crème wool looks luxurious and soft, at a banging price point. Adding the gray pants to throw a cooler color into the mix makes this look complete. The white sneakers from New Balance are a great contender to be the best basic shoe in your wardrobe. For our final look, we envisioned our favorite fall scenario: spending a Sunday at a weekend getaway. This backpack should be big enough to bring everything you need to a cottage and to be honest there is nothing more to do than cozy up and read a book. So this whole look is really as laid back as the old money style can go. With keeping all the pieces in neutral colors, it looks polished, while you will feel like wearing pajamas.
